“We couldn’t have asked for more for our anniversary trip and our first time in Latin America and traveling with A2A”
As we are at the tail end of our trip, we just wanted to say thank you for all your help, and that it was lovely doing all the planning with you. We felt so well taken care of every step of the way. And even with the “minor hiccup” of our flight to Cusco getting cancelled, we were in such a good mood that it didn’t really bother us, and arriving in the Sacred Valley was extra appreciated.
We couldn’t have asked for more for our anniversary trip and our first time in Latin America and traveling with A2A.

I engaged A2A Journeys to plan my itinerary. They were great. Thanks to Jade Seah for the recommendation.

“Overall, one of our best trips ever! Muchas Gracias Michael!”
I wanted to let you know that our family is having one of the best adventures we have ever had in this South American trip.
We had a charming, knowledgeable and caring guide in Rio – Marcelo - that made the places we visited come alive with his historical context. We enjoyed immensely the local food as we were able to dine in very good restaurants. Our boutique hotel was very comfortable, spacious (we were upgraded to a suite), well located and aesthetically intriguing. Thank you for the welcome drink and goodies that were waiting for us when we first arrived.
Sylvana, our guide in Buenos Aires, was very informative and personable. We enjoyed the beautiful city with its monuments, government buildings, cemetery, parks, stadiums, shops, restaurants and attractions. I particularly liked seeing the fashionable and elegant locals who graced the city. The Argentinian Tango show was absolutely fascinating and entertaining – and apparently inspiring to my wife (but I think it is more about the spirit being willing but the body may not be fully up to it…). They are superb dancers and top athletes with a grace and elan that is captivating.
Our tour guides in Peru, like the previous ones, were knowledgeable, professional and caring of our needs. They made sure they were readily visible when we left the departure area and that we were properly checked-in when we were departing on our next flight. All of our flights in South America departed and arrived on time.
The highlight of the entire trip was experiencing Machu Picchu – it deserves to be included as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The 2nd highlight was our hike to the peak of Wayna Picchu.
So thank you very much for giving me and my family this unique and memorable experience.
Overall, one of our best trips ever ! Muchas Gracias Michael !

“But had an incredible time this trip, sceneries are mind-blowing, truly beautiful….”
Hi Lit and Claire – just got back last Saturday and still in the midst of jet lag. But had an incredible time this trip, sceneries are mind-blowing, truly beautiful….
Everyone had so much fun, it was good balance of adventure in the deserts/salt flats/mountains and some city perks in between. Couldn’t have done it otherwise, I think.
The itinerary planning, including the management of the altitude was commendable, Claire. David felt discomfort for only a couple of days, but was such a big improvement from our last Peru trip when he was totally bed-ridden. Nothing of that sort happened on this trip, which was a big relief. Essentially, he didn’t miss anything.
Claire had been a joy to work with, nothing too small or too big to ask, so patient and kind. I even asked about Mexico =( I appreciate always the straight-forward comments and replies, loaded with much insights on culture and balanced with a grip of the potential challenges we might have due to stress/altitude sickness. Loved working with you Claire. THANK YOU.
I'm sure I wasn’t easy to work with, with so many questions, so much much appreciate both your help and kindness!!

“We definitely want to venture back to South America; probably not 2020 but possibly the year after. I have Patagonia in mind, Colombia and others. My Spanish needs more work!”
Just wanted to drop you a short note to thank you for organising an amazing trip for us.
It was worry free from the moment we touched down in Quito, to our departure from Santiago. The local guides (outside of those from the hotels/lodges we stayed) were excellent; always punctual and tours always organised just right to keep the kids engaged and not too tiring. The itinerary we put together was pretty spot on in terms of logistics and nights spent at each location. The only change I would make in hindsight is that 2 nights at Matetic was probably a bit much. We could easily have stayed an extra night at the Explora in Atacama but otherwise everything was perfect.
I can understand why you love Ecuador; it was easily our favourite of the two countries. We loved every property we stayed at for different reasons but Hacienda Zuleta was something else; I think it was down to the software (ie the people) which made it extra special. I cannot rave enough about our time in the Galapagos on the Grace.
Suffering from jetlag and post-holiday blues back in Hong Kong, I am already plotting our next adventures. We definitely want to venture back to South America; probably not 2020 but possibly the year after. I have Patagonia in mind, Colombia and others. My Spanish needs more work!
I’m hoping to explore more of Africa in 2020 so I will be in touch with Kevin in due course.

“Thanks for helping us put together this trip. Like all A2A trips it gave us another unforgettable experience”
We had a wonderful time. Quasar's pickup services were very attentive and helpful. Their guides on the boat were very attentive and knowledgeable. The accommodations were comfortable. They also managed to tailor the activities to suit all levels of fitness which was great. The need getting used to but that is really difficult to please all. I would just put it down to individual taste and I think we are just not used to Ecuadorian food. Breakfast was always good though.
Thanks for helping us put together this trip. Like all A2A trips it gave us another unforgettable experience.

“The highlight of the whole trip was swimming with the sea lions in the Galapagos. I will never forget this”
Thank You to you and the team both in HK and Latam for an amazing holiday. Your representatives in both Peru and Ecuador are fantastic - super organized and excellent English.
The highlight of the whole trip was swimming with the sea lions in the Galapagos. I will never forget this. But the birds and wildlife on the first island were amazing especially as it was nesting season.

“Over all a great trip and I think the itinerary was just right to get a feel for Galapagos”
Touching base to let you know I arrived home over the weekend. Still crazy tired but so happy how the trip went.
It was a very active trip that made me realize an African safari are such leisurely way to see animals.
The Santa Cruz boat was excellently run catering to both young and old, active and less active travelers equally. And very happy with the Western route that allowed us to swim with penguins and sea lions up close in the water. We even spotted that rare Mola Mola (one of the reasons I wanted to do Western cruise) a few meters from our rubber boat.
Pikaia lodge has amazing views and amenities were top notch. The downside of its location is that water based tours added a 40min drive to the port to get on the boat which added to the travel time. It was more tedious than going off shore from the boat. But their yacht was well equipped with very comfy sleeping and lounging areas.
Over all a great trip and I think the itinerary was just right to get a feel for Galapagos.
And Casa Gangotena was so lovely. Henry from Gentian Trail was excellent. Very efficient and lots of info.
Hope you enjoy the clip of me swimming with a sea lion.
