“It also gave us a chance to take a step back and reflect on our place in the universe, how everything is connected, and how we should all take responsibility for our actions”

What an experience, one that we will not easily forget. We saw a lot of game, big and small, dead and alive, all to remind us that there is a greater world, far from the hustle and bustle of urban life. It also gave us a chance to take a step back and reflect on our place in the universe, how everything is connected, and how we should all take responsibility for our actions.  Bravo and thank you, Tuludi, for showing us that sustainable, environmental and “green” should be and can be part of our consciousness.

“The TOTAL EXPERIENCE is beyond words...I can't seem to begin nor attempt to describe the feeling...so OVERWHELMED!”

JAMBO Yessa!

Lilit and I are trying to recover from a very bad case of "AFRICAN FEVER"!

Our minds are still flooded with images of Kenya...we are not complaining, though.

Lilit is busy typing away non-stop, on his laptop since yesterday trying to commit to its memory bank, salient details of our trip...call it, the KENYA DIARIES.

On my part, I have been sorting through thousands of fotos I took with just my celfone -- I know it would never approximate what I have seen, but, good enough to get so many positive and appreciative feedback from Family and friends for the efforts made, to share my experiences!

Thank God Lilit has so many fantastic fotos on his LUMIX camera. Nothing fancy, but, it certainly captured so many dramatic and stunning pictures!

Despite a full day out game-watching daily, and exhaustion, I tried to cope with posting on FB what I could, just as starters...at times, trading precious sleep...hehe! The posts will help me remember the salient aspects and highlights of my safari adventure!

Because of my FB posts...KENYA and a SAFARI adventure has been re-introduced to the pysche of many who saw my posts.

I have gotten many inquiries, and of course, it goes without saying, that we have been mentioning A2A to our friends and relatives.

We are so HAPPY and pleased with our trip -- thanks to you, A2A, Cheli and Peacock, the management of each camp/place where we stayed, and, to ALL whom we met along the way, who are now dear rafikis.

The TOTAL EXPERIENCE is beyond words...I can't seem to begin nor attempt to describe the feeling...so OVERWHELMED!

I will TAG you the rest of my ALBUMS...I hope to complete them before I hit the PANIC BUTTON, as the Holidays is just around the corner...yikes!

We will certainly keep in touch!

God Bless!

“I literally booked this Namibia trip last minute on a complete whim, but it has turned out way beyond expectation.”

Had a very productive waterhole with 2 bull elephant, black rhino, zebra, oryx, springbok, ostrich, wildebeest.  Short moment when one of the elephants and the rhino squared off with each other.

Then we came back to the reserve and saw the lion pride again and the cubs walked right past or almost under our vehicle several times.  Great stuff.

So after only the first day I think I can say Mission Accomplished.

Too many black rhino to count!  Maybe 15-17 if I had to guess.  Saw 8 (!!)  just today, between Ongava and Etosha.  Plus 7 white rhino.

Plus - my first honey badger!

And my first caracal!

And first brown hyena.

And first Hartmans zebra.

And we saw a leopard in Etosha, on the ground walking to the waterhole and then drinking.

Also saw 3 prides of lion (2 with cubs), and spotted hyena.

There are 4 white rhino at our camp waterhole as I type this.  Too much happening today to take in.

I literally booked this trip last minute on a complete whim, but it has turned out way beyond expectation.

“We have just returned from our first trip to South Africa. It has been absolutely amazing! ”

We have just returned from our first trip to South Africa. It has been absolutely amazing! Everything was well organised from the meet and greet at the airport, to all our pick up times for our tours.  All our hotels where in great locations and our tour guide was excellent.  Would recommend to all family and friends wishing to travel to SA to book with A2A Safaris thru the assistance of Michael Scott to experience a trip of a life time which was a well planned, organised trip.  Well done A2A Safaris!!

“Everything went smoothly and it was a great experience as we had so many wild dogs sightings (including kills) which was what we went for :)”

Hi Chelsea!

We are back home in the urban jungle and wanted to say thanks for coordinating the trip!

Everything went smoothly and it was a great experience for us as we had so many wild dogs sightings (including kills) which was what we went for :)

Overall South Africa doesn't seem as dense or "vibrant" as East Africa esp in the Savannah Serengeti plains but we love it anyways as it came with a lot of action!

“Our game drives in the Serengeti have been great!”

Thanks, Yessa! Everything's been great thus far. Our game drives in the Serengeti have been great! Saw all the “big 5”and the “ugly 5” and then some awesome bonuses! Got videos of (1) a cheetah chasing, killing and feeding on a rabbit, (2) ostrich charging to our vehicle, (3) wildebeests river crossings.

“It was a wonderful and fantastic trip!”

Thanks Yessa. It was a wonderful trip ! Eager to share our feedback with you. Ching was so happy with everything. A wonderful lady from Cheli & Peacock handled us when we returned to Nairobi. She found the jacaranda seed supplier for me.

It was a wonderful and fantastic trip!
Saw 8 leopards during the entire trip, the majority in Northern Serengeti.
Still having a hangover from the trip.
Cheers!

“It gave me a better understanding of the animal life vis-a-vis the environment”

I find the trip an eye opener and educational.  The people were very gentle and deep concern in preserving culture. It gave me better understanding of the animal life vis a vis environment.

“We enjoyed the safari a lot! It was nice that our group got along very well”

We enjoyed the safari a lot! It was nice that our group got along very well. We didn’t get to see the actual migration though because I think we missed it by a week. But at least we saw thousands of wildebeests crossing the plains of Masai Mara. We also saw a hunt by the wild dogs and a kill by a lion plus several feastings of kills by different predator. Thanks for arranging everything!

“Obviously Japan is very far from Africa, but if we have a chance to go back to Africa again, we would like to come to you for advice again”

We have returned home last night, we had a great trip thanks to you!

Having said the above, over all trip was amazing, especially the planning stage with you and Jose involved a lot of excitement and really appreciate you both for that.

Obviously Japan is very far from Africa, but if we have a chance to go back to Africa again, we would like to come to you for advice again.

Just a quick thank you note, the second picture is of me and my wife (we were second place in climbing up Big Daddy).

I'd really like to thank Jose too, but Im still jet lagged and brain not functioning to write in English, please send my best regards to him.

“It’s such an absolute privilege and blessing to be able to see this with a child”

Can I take my kid on a safari?

Here’s what to expect: most camps will do two or three drives a day, one at around 630am, 930am and 330pm. Each drive usually lasts about 3 hours, and they all ride in these open-sided cars, like the Jurassic Park jeeps! These give you the best 360 views of the animals.

Is it safe? Well, there’s a seatbelt... don’t expect a booster seat! It’s also completely open, and expect to come very very close to the animals.

Are the animals dangerous? Let’s say we’ve watched a lion pride hunt, kill and feed, in a car with no doors- your child must be able to stay very calm and quiet. Not all safari camps take kids for this reason, it can disrupt the enjoyment of other guests, not to mention endanger themselves and others. The animals don’t attack the safari vehicles because they see it as one large “animal”. If one passenger were to stand up, it might call attention to the fact that there were actually smaller creatures inside the car. You must understand your own child’s nature and personality, not all kids are suitable to go on safari drives.

Jake was the only child we’ve seen after 3 days out on the Masai Mara, but I can’t also say enough, how AMAZING it’s been for him. We’ve seen a herd of giraffes up close, lions challenge a buffalo, baby elephants at play, stalked a pair of mating leopards, discovered a den of baby hyenas, watched gazelles dance across the plains... you can’t compare anything you see in a zoo, to watching these magnificent animals in their natural environment in the wild. It’s such an absolute privilege and blessing to be able to see this with a child. Between the wild animals in the glorious Masai Mara and the wide-eyed wonder in his eyes, I can’t tell you which is the more beautiful sight to me.

We stayed in Governor’s Camp and Il Moran.
