This Africa trip has been one of the greatest experiences I've had—seeing all these wild animals up close, staying in one of the most picturesque accommodations in Kenya.

This is why #TheChaseNeverEnds, and why I keep working hard. Because these are the kinds of experiences I want to keep having—and the kind of things I want my family to always be able to enjoy.

I guess nature has me feeling a bit deep. Hello from this side of the world!

“And as one of our camp mates would say during our last night - “May the dust of Africa never leave your feet.””

The past two weeks have given us so much to be grateful for. As I am writing this, I reminisce being greeted by the great African sunrise with clouds moving across blue mountains and green fauna embracing the morning calls of the birds.

This trip was nothing but amazing. From the amazing landscape, culture, people, and fun language, it was a great privilege and blessing to have met and encountered so many incredible people who shared stories and broke bread with us whilst on safari. What a thrill it is to meet locals and fellow tourists alike who openly shared a glimpse of their lives and genuine passion for travel and adventure with no hesitation.

Asante sana, Africa.
Our hearts and minds are full.

And as one of our camp mates would say during our last night - “May the dust of Africa never leave your feet.”

We truly can’t wait to be back in a safari jeep!

“This was the best reintroduction to the world after an almost 3 year hiatus. There’s really nothing like it and it’s an experience that stays with you for a lifetime.”

Let me tell you about the biggest bonus on these safaris. It’s 100 percent the people - the locals and the other tourists you meet along the way.

First of all, the service is unparalleled. The warm welcomes and greetings you get day and night from when you wake up until they walk you back to your rooms, it just never goes away.

The time is short but you become family. They call you by your name and make sure to go above and beyond to make your stay special. We happened to mention that this trip was a delayed celebration of Jakey’s 40th pandemic birthday and an advanced celebration of our upcoming anniversary and they never failed to surprise us with song and dance numbers, special candle light dinners, romantic room (and bathroom) setups and so much more.

Aside from that, the guides that are with you everyday are over flowing with knowledge and passion for what they do. The enthusiasm is so contagious and you leave each place having a deeper love and respect for nature and the animals.

But it doesn’t end there, you also form new friendships with other tourists from all over the world. The shared experience form instant connections and for some reason, when you’re on safari in the middle of nowhere it’s so easy to share personal stories from back home too.

This was the best reintroduction to the world after an almost 3 year hiatus. There’s really nothing like it and it’s an experience that stays with you for a lifetime.

“I planned my first ever safari and trip to Africa with A2A and I struggle to think of how it could have been better!”

I planned my first ever safari and trip to Africa with A2A and I struggle to think of how it could have been better! From pre-trip exchanges to post-trip comms, I felt that all my needs and preferences were well-received and considered by experts. Despite going solo, I felt confident and secure so I thoroughly enjoyed what the Mara had to offer!

It was good to see the mountain gorillas. They are so human like.  98% same DNA.

“We had a thoroughly enjoyable trip last month to Rwanda/Tanzania. I personally learned a lot, with experiences like this difficult to duplicate anywhere.”

We had a thoroughly enjoyable trip last month to Rwanda/Tanzania. I personally learned a lot, with experiences like this difficult to duplicate anywhere. It's rare that a trip involving so much logistics goes perfect, but for the most part, it was manageable. We had excellent guides throughout, and received heartwarming welcomes everywhere we stayed.

Kigali is the cleanest city i have seen in Africa and people seem to have gotten over the genocide 20 years ago. Still it was moving, and you generate a lot of emotions touring the various museums and speaking to people who experienced the genocide first hand.

When we finally arrived in the middle of the jungle and had our  encounter with a family of about 15 mountain gorillas, it was truly an experience I cannot forget. They are so close to humans, their intelligence is obvious, and the way they move, care for their young ones, even how their hands and feet look .....just like us. The silverbacks are particularly impressive with their size and strength and how they command the entire clan. We must have stayed close to an hour, taken a thousand photos, braved rainfall and squatted in very uncomfortable positions most of the time. It was worth every second.

Flying to Serengeti from Rwanda was uneventful, which is a good thing. However, we were fortunate enough to witness what was probably the best river crossing of the season. I have been to the Serengeti before and even Masai  Mara, but never saw the migration at this level.

“This was truly a bucket list family trip and experience that we will never forget. We would plan to return back in the near future despite the need for us to undergo PCR tests and hotel-quarantine upon returning back to Hong Kong.”

On behalf of the Lam family, we wish to express our appreciation for helping us to arrange the Kenya safaris for 8 nites/9 days along with the Bogensperger family between 3-11 August 2022.

This was truly a bucket list family trip and experience that we will never forget.

The early-morning and late-afternoon safari drives at the Masai Mara Conservatory were great thanks to our guide, Kevin. Kevin was so experienced that we saw everything that we asked for including most wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, gazelles, buffalos, giraffes, hippopotamuses, etc. And many species of birds.

What we never imagined seeing was a mini-version of the wildebeest crossing as part of their migration with some 500+ wildebeests, although 1 wildebeest was caught and eaten by a number of crocodiles. And it was most thrilling watching a cheetah anticipating, chasing and catching a gazelle.

The only downside to our Kenya safari experience was that we never really had time to fully enjoy our accommodations at the luxurious Mara Plains camp, as much as Mara Expedition camp.

The staff were very personable and friendly and foods and drinks plentiful. Would suggest that one should experience the Mara Expedition camp before Mara Plains camp to have more time to enjoy the more luxurious camp.

We found the wildlife in the Lewa Wildlife Conservatory less in abundance. Unfortunately, we were spoiled during our stay in the Masai Mara Conservatory. We still managed to see different wildlife such as white and black rhinoceroses, grevy zebras, antelopes, and others.

The accommodation at Sirikoi in the Lewa Wildlife Conservatory was nice and relaxing, where you can experience the wildlife in the camp site right in front of your tent. Definitely should try dining out in the wild for breakfast and/or lunch.

We would and have already highly recommended the Kenya safaris to our friends and plan to return back in the near future despite the need for us to undergo PCR tests and hotel-quarantine upon returning back to Hong Kong.

Thank you.

“One of the best holidays ever! A2A made sure that everything went smoothly including monitoring that our flight home was on schedule. I would definitely trust A2A with planning my my next holiday to Africa and Latin America. I can‘t wait to go again!”

We had incredible game viewings including a cheetah kill in action and leopards climbing up and down trees, lots of babies from the various species and lions, hyenas and jackals eating their kill. I even had the resident giraffe come just outside my tent at Sirikoi and bend down its head for me to stroke it. My daughter was most envious of this especially because it happened so quickly so I had no time to alert her about the giraffe in the vicinity and she said she was now reconsidering treating us to our next safari. Ha ha.

I absolutely loved Mara Expedition Camp! The accommodation was exactly what I want of a luxury safari tent/experience and the staff were the best. Mara Plains Camp was luxurious just like the photos depict, staff were also very good but not as personal as Mara Expedition Camp. But Mara Plains Camp provided really good cameras with a Zoom lens which the girls really appreciated.  Really happy with my safari experience and will shout it out to everyone which hopefully will encourage others to want to book with you.

One of the best holidays ever! Loved all 3 camps we stayed in and the very knowledgeable guides assigned to us. A2A made sure that everything went smoothly including monitoring that our flight home was on schedule. I would definitely trust A2A with planning my next holiday to Africa and Latin America. I can‘t wait to go again!

“I can't say enough good things about Nicole. If you're considering a trip, do it now. Don't wait. Seize the moment - this was the trip of a lifetime that won't ever be topped!”

If you've ever thought about going on a safari or visiting Africa, look no further than A2A Safaris. Nicole handled every little detail exquisitely. There were so many logistical details that go into a two week trip with multiple people of varying ages, many flights (both commercial and private), activities, and hotels/lodges.

Nicole made the planning easy and fun. This was not the first safari she has planned for us - so we had absolute trust in her direction for the latest and greatest spots to stay. She knows the continent so well and was able to direct us to new properties that had come on the scene since our last vacation... and boy, did they not disappoint! All six of us had the time of our lives.

We traveled with older parents and younger siblings and Nicole was able to find places that met everyone's needs and blew away all our expectations. Before we left, we had lots of communication with her so everything was covered and clear and she was quick to respond while we were away, addressing any questions we had in real time. We spent several nights in Cape Town before traveling north to two different safari lodges. Cape Town's wharf, shopping, food and people are so wonderful. Our group especially loved the winelands tour and Cape Peninsula tour as well. Both lodges were epic and the game viewing was top notch. Nicole did an excellent job recommending places and activities that fit everyone's taste and budget.

We couldn't be more pleased with the ease of planning, the professionalism, the personal touches and the real friendship we have with Nicole at A2A Safaris. She's a wealth of information and the gem you want in your pocket when you're planning such an excursion. I can't say enough good things about her. If you're considering a trip, do it now. Don't wait. Seize the moment - this was the trip of a lifetime that won't ever be topped!

“My family is looking at a Latin America and Antarctica adventure soon, and we trust only A2A to make it happen the way we want it.”

We could not be more happy with A2A! They gave competent and experienced guidance from the get-go (planning and camp selection stage); patient hand-holding throughout the pandemic when our trip had to be rebooked several times over; and detailed pre-departure direction (from visa application requirements down to packing lists). Seamless and responsive service all the way! My family is looking at a Latin America and Antarctica adventure soon, and we trust only A2A to make it happen the way we want it.

“Yes, the Africa trip was fantastic and all arrangements went very smoothly. As soon as we arrived we immediately realised how much we have missed Africa and Silvan loved the self-drive day particularly.”

Hi Kevin,

I thought I would reply in quarantine in HK while I have plenty of time!

Yes, the Africa trip was fantastic and all arrangements went very smoothly. As soon as we arrived we immediately realised how much we have missed Africa and Silvan loved the self-drive day particularly.

The three locations were all very different and we ended up being the only guests at Hoanib and Kwessi camps for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. Food and rooms were all great and staff /guides all wonderful. Special thanks to the staff of the Peech Hotel who helped to deliver some items to the Intercon that I had left behind at the start of the trip.

I look forward to visiting that part of the world very soon! Thank you again for organising everything.
