Days 1 & 2. Ngorongoro Crater

Upon arrival at Manyara by air, transfer into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the exquisite Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, situated on the edge of an ancient volcanic caldera, with endless vistas into the crater below. Guided day trips venture into the caldera floor, where the highest density of large mammals in Africa are to be found and lion and hyena reign supreme, as predators

Days 3, 4 & 5. Faru Faru, Serengeti

In the private Grumeti Reserve lies Singita Faru Faru Lodge, on a gently sloping hill overlooking the rugged Serengeti terrain where the renowned migratory traverses by. Informal, unconventional and contemporary, organic style mixes with quirky practicality of a botanist’s camp to create unexpected surprises. Days 6, 7 & 8. Sayari, Serengeti

In the remote north of the Serengeti and in a largely exclusive area, Sayari Camp commands panoramic views of the Mara River. The greatest drama in the annual wildebeest and zebra migration plays out here, as giant crocodiles lie in wait to snap at the crossing herds and lion, hyena and even leopard wait near the river's banks for easy meals!

Days 1 & 2. Gibb's Farm

Gibb's Farm is located in the majestic Ngorongoro Highlands, a 1920's coffee farm with a luxury country inn ambiance, each cottage overlooking manicured gardens into the valley beyond. Rich eucalyptus flooring and beams from the farmhouse complement hand carved furniture, creating an authentic retreat.

One of Tanzania's famous landmarks, the Ngorongoro Crater is renowned for wonderful scenery and thriving wildlife. Resident herds of zebra, buffalo and other herbivores are prey to the areas supreme predators, lion and hyena. On your full day here, spend the entire morning game driving on the Crater floor, before returning to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner. 

Days 3, 4 & 5. Serengeti Safari Camp, Serengeti

Next is Serengeti Safari Camp, a legendary mobile camp that follows the migration. Effortlessly comfortable, the walk-in tents are spacious and feature a full size bed, dressing area, flush eco-toilet and safari bucket showers. The camp's well shaded 'mess' dining tent has couches, extensive bar library and a roaring fire for cool evenings.

Game drives search for lions, cheetahs and other predators while meandering onto the vast plains amongst the wildebeest migration, along with herds of zebra and gazelle at every turn. Witness mass birthings or explosive Mara River crossings at certain times of the year.

Days 6, 7 & 8. Nomad Lamai, Serengeti

Tucked in the Kogakurla kopjes in northwest Serengeti, Nomad Lamai is a stone's throw from the Mara River, one of the prime areas to witness thundering river crossings. Too often forgotten when the migration has rumbled on, extraordinary wildlife remain year round, including lion prides, herds of buffalo, elephant, leopard, cheetah and over 300 bird species! 

The impeccably designed camp is camouflaged against a rocky outcrop, retaining the feel of nature and clad in a mix of light canvas and plaster. Each of the gorgeous open-fronted tented rooms have sweeping views of the surrounding wilderness.
