“Peru was something else. The people are nice and the food is fantastic!”

Hi Michael,
We had a awesome trip. Thank you. Peru was something else. The people are nice and the food is fantastic! I personally liked the food in Maido better than Central *:) happy Although the ambience in Central is more laid back and relaxed.

Overall, everything was in order and the whole team made everything very convenient for us.

Thank you for creating a wonderful trip for us, one we will forever cherish and will be part of our happy memories.

“So much has been said about the enigmatic Machu Picchu and so many pictures have been taken but it’s only when you get there that the scale, complexity and mystery of it all hits you”

So much has been said about the enigmatic Machu Picchu and so many pictures have been taken but it’s only when you get there that the scale, complexity and mystery of it all hits you. Why did the Inca civilization flee this seemingly perfect and impenetrable fortress when the Spanish attacked? What exactly was this site used for? How did they build such a architecturally complex city without modern technology? Some answers are perhaps best left unanswered...

“Peru & Bolivia are interesting countries to visit. We learned so much about their culture and history”

We would like to thank you for such a great job in organizing our Peru & Bolivia trip. We had fun even though it was a bit tiring. Peru & Bolivia are interesting countries to visit. We learned so much about their culture and history. The guides were so knowledgeable and helpful. Food was great! My husband could speak Spanish so we had no problem in communicating. We loved our stay at Tambo del Inka (good room and very good food), Jw Marriott Lima (very good location, nice view and room and food too), and Casa Grande in La Paz (very spacious rooms and great food!).

“In the end, this trip - and traveling in general - has changed us, just like when we went on an African safari in Sabi Sands”

I’d be lying if I said that this trip has been easy. We were constantly out of our comfort zone - the language, the culture, the cold arid weather, and the high altitude. We have been Westernized enough to find comfort in Starbucks, McDonald’s and being surrounded by people who understand and speak English. Even just getting to this spot on this rock wasn’t easy. Why spend close to 30 hours of traveling, riding planes, trains, buses and vans, just to spend only 3 hours here - for some pix and videos? Why spend money when you can just Google Machu Picchu?

In the end, this trip - and traveling in general - has changed us, just like when we went on an African safari in Sabi Sands. There is growth when you venture outside your comfort zone, when there are no Starbucks shops and when no one speaks English. (On the flip side, it is cool to speak in Tagalog because no one understands you haha). Soon you start to (and have to) speak some passable Spanish just to be understood - tienes otros colores, donde esta baño, que es eso? And the most important Spanish phrase - TIENES WI-FI AQUI?

This trip has been worth it. We have met some amazing people, and I have met 3 new NRC running friends in Lima. I sometimes go through videos and pix of Machu Picchu on my phone and shake my head in wonder and disbelief. Truly it has been a journey of a lifetime. I’d do this again in a heartbeat.

“It’s hard to figure out which one is the highlight of our trip... the diversity of each destination made a perfect mix”

Hi Claire,

Our trip was simply amazing and unforgettable. It’s hard to figure out which one is the highlight of our trip... the diversity of each destination made a perfect mix. And yes, you’re right about Patagonia and the glacier trek... it was a sight to behold and a once in a lifetime experience.

Everything was just seamless... from the planning stage and the well-curated hotels/properties... to the efficient and knowledgeable guides and assistants (Marcelo, Fernando, Gustavo, Malou, Eduardo, Karin, and Lucas) assigned to us. I never expected that we would breeze through our much-daunted numerous internal flights without your airport to airport assistance. Thanks to you, and Michael as well.

With that said, I’m now planning a safari trip, this time, with my children and grandchildren. Many, many thanks for the wonderful experience.
