“It comes at a price, about what you pay for a top safari lodge in Africa, though more basic, but one to add to your bucket list”

Trailer cash. Forget what you know about caravan holidays. This airstream is the most exclusive experience in the altiplano. You get private crew including chef, and a stunning part of the salt flats to yourself. It comes at a price, about what you pay for a top safari lodge in Africa, though more basic, but one to add to your bucket list.

“We will certainly be filling Tripadvisor with our comments! Again, thank you for orchestrating the trip”

Claire,

We had such fun! The trip was enhanced by the staff -- greeters, drivers, guides, etc. who took great care that we were comfortable. They anticipated our needs--- the wet towels, the bottled water, Guido's stepping stool for his van, even the recommendations for where to shop. The guides were knowledgeable and patiently answered our questions. The places for lunch were such finds!

I would recommend the last day of the trip to be a free day. The free time late Friday afternoon to all of Saturday was such a great opportunity to enjoy great company without a schedule and explore Cusco a bit more for dining and shopping. It helped us get into the winding down mode.

We will certainly be filling Tripadvisor with our comments! Again, thank you for orchestrating the trip. Looking forward to a future South American adventure!

“we have collected a vast number of common set of brilliant memories and experience which have now become the bond that enhanced our friendships - reuniting and further extending them”

Hi Claire, we just returned to the US from our Peruvian vacation today and wanted to drop you a short note of great appreciation on behalf of all of us.

We'd be remiss if we simply walked away from those 10 wonderful days without thanking you for all your help in putting this memorable itinerary together, getting the complicated logistics to work out for friends located in several far-flung geographies, arranging multiple transfers that made for stress-free travel, booking us in incredibly beautiful properties on land and water and facilitating the reservations in the best restaurants in Lima.  Your Coltur team was a well-orchestrated group handing off our party to the next team seamlessly - all made even more special by the fantastic demeanor of the guides and drivers.

Thank you for the several surprises that we believe you might have had a hand throughout the trip to make our 35th anniversary special - icing on the cake!

Finally, another one of the best offshoots from this trip is that we have collected a vast number of common set of brilliant memories and experience which have now become the bond that enhanced our friendships - reuniting and further extending them.

Now we are discussing another Latin American trip - Patagonia/Argentina and perhaps Brazil? Any ideas?

“Thanks to A2A, we had embarked on an adventure of a lifetime and we will be looking forward to more adventures to come”

Our family would like to thank A2A, specifically Claire and Lit for putting together an unforgettable journey to Ecuador, Peru and Colombia at short notice. Their personalized service was delightful and their choice of partner agencies was impeccable.

Everything about the trip went smoothly, including airport transfers and tours. The tour guides were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a good fit to our group. The hotels were contemporary, exactly according to our preference. Special mention goes to Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba and Four Seasons Bogota - two beautiful hotels with outstanding levels of service.

But what made the trip truly memorable were the extraordinary places we visited - the well-preserved colonial architecture of Quito, the diversity of wildlife and the colorful landscape of the Galapagos Islands, the colorful markets of Pisac, the breathtaking Incan ruins of Machu Picchu, the surprising salt mines of Moray and the bustling cosmopolitan city of Bogota.

Thanks to A2A, we had embarked on an adventure of a lifetime and we will be looking forward to more adventures to come.

“I will miss the quaint and vibrant streets, the bustling markets, the warm people, the deep history and their well-preserved food traditions. Thanks for the soul-enriching few days!”

One of those places i would love to come back to. When we were in Mexico City and our guide would explain the origin of Mexico's food and history, it would often come from Oaxaca. It is quite rare to find such a beautiful place that has preserved so much of their culture. I will miss the quaint and vibrant streets, the bustling markets, the warm people, the deep history and their well-preserved food traditions. Thanks for the soul-enriching few days!

“At the end of the trip we were discussing where to go next summer and the first thing I did was to go to A2A’s website to find what other countries they serviced!”

Loved: the airstream and salt plains.  Food in Lima.  Guide in Bolivia – Gustavo and our guide in Macchu picchu.  Belmond palacio Nazarenas.  The flexibility of changing our schedule (deleting or adding activities during the trip). The cable car rides in La Paz.  Macchu picchu. Eros island. The speed at which Coltur got us another flight to Cusco (on a Sunday). The quality of the bikes and rafting equiptment.....

I was too busy to organize this long and complicated trip on my own in such short period of time.  Without A2A it would have to wait for next year. Andrea, my daughter work on the trip w/Claire and she was very patient w Andrea.  We were a big group and it was not easy to able to accommodate all our requests and idiosyncrasies.

At the end of the trip we were discussing where to go next summer and the first thing I did was to go to A2A’s website to find what other countries they serviced!

Pat and I would like to thank you and Claire for assisting us with our first trip to Mexico. We can’t wait to explore and yes we will want to eat in the best places and markets. Recommendations would be great as we want an authentic Mexican experience. A tour guide with food knowledge would be great too!

Thanks again Binky, Claire, and the rest of the A2A team!

“Glamping, because life is too short not to have fun”

At the salt flats of Uyuni in Bolivia. A vast expanse of salt flats which is quite rightly Bolivia's piece de resistance.  Glamping, because life is too short not to have fun.

A Pisco Sour before take-off. Adios, Peru and Bolivia! We had the most awesome adventure. Muchas gracias! And thank you @a2asafaris for making it all possible.

“I have been fortunate to have seen and experienced some of the most beautiful corners of this earth, so beautiful, that it has moved me to tears”

A rare appearance, but how could I not. I have been fortunate to have seen and experienced some of the most beautiful corners of this earth, so beautiful, that it has moved me to tears. This sunset in the flooded salt pans at Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia is one of them.

“This journey taught us the value of our planet and the importance of preserving this pristine environment for generations to come”

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be part of the first expedition to Antarctica last year, on the ship Sea Explorer I.   Twenty one magnificent days spent with world famous photographers, devoted planet conservationists, wildlife surveyors, environmentalists, geologists, etc.

Truly a humbling and learning experience.

The goal was to reach the Frozen Continent!  What awaited us were sights unimaginable.  Especially South Georgia, a pristine white playground for millions of penguins and seals, where we walked giving way to animals 10 times our size. This stunning magical white world of icebergs and glaciers, where dolphins and whales swam for miles along the ship, with albatrosses hovering over us and huge whales sliding under our kayaks.

In this calendar, I am sharing some of my favorite pictures that I clicked under the guidance and help of my dear friend, Jose Cortes, a world traveler, a wildlife enthusiast and an exceptional photographer.

This journey taught us the value of our planet and the importance of preserving this pristine environment for generations to come.
