“We had many amazing experiences. Some were truly unexpected”

We had many amazing experiences. Some were truly unexpected. Only disappointment was that we did not spot any rhinos. Little Kwara was just so surprising.  We had 3 wonderful exciting and dramatic game drives.

We had a very enjoyable time. This time we did not know what to expect but we were so pleasantly surprised. Despite the very tall grasses we saw a lot: leopard, mama cheeta and cub. Even saw the mama teaching the young how to hunt. Elephants, wild dogs, a hyena in the camp one night and buffalos. The highlight was the moonbow - faint but still visible.  On the whole we got more than what we expected.

One of the highlights of my trip: staying in these futuristic dome shaped tents that kind of reminded me of an igloo. Had a wood burning fireplace, charging station and all modern day comforts.

“We are so grateful to A2A and Cherine for planning the perfect safari for our family of 6 in Kenya. It was truly the trip of a lifetime – thank you A2A.”

We are so grateful to A2A and Cherine for planning the perfect safari for our family of 6 in Kenya. We experienced real adventure, learned more than we ever imagined from our expert guides, and shared delicious meals each evening together by candlelight. We loved all three locations Cherine recommended, and if we had it to do over we wouldn’t change a thing. Fly camping in the Masai Mara was the highlight of our trip, but the incredible wildlife, gourmet meals, safari guides and light aircraft transfers all exceeded our expectations.  It was truly the trip of a lifetime – thank you A2A.

“We want to give Ailin a BIG thumbs up for her perseverance and stamina making numerous changes to the itinerary before it was finalised.”

It was purely through the recommendation of another client of Ailin that we got to know of A2A Safaris. I had been speaking to another travel specialist for a while already about South Africa when I decided to check with my friend who went to Kenya on safari and he strongly recommended Ailin and A2A.

Ailin has been a tremendous help with the itinerary and recommendations. She is very professional and knowledgeable and able to help us make better choices throughout our selection of safari lodges, hotel accommodation, restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We want to give her a BIG thumbs up for her perseverance and stamina making numerous changes to the itinerary before it was finalised.

“I don't think I ever want to go on safari again because I cannot believe it would ever be as good! ”

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your arrangements to make our safari adventures in Botswana so amazing. Our guides and accommodation were fantastic and it exceeded all my wildest dreams. I don't think I ever want to go on safari again because I cannot believe it would ever be as good! Every day we saw something new - so much lovely wildlife and bird life and even on the final drive we had a first - which was amazing!

Had a very enjoyable stay in Cape Town and the Garden Route - South Africa is a great country to visit with so much to see and do - wish I had longer!!

Thanks once again for all your hard work and background planning - it certainly paid off!

We did really enjoy our trip. We will definitely ask you to help with next one, although that might not be for a few years (Mozambique, Madagascar).  Next Christmas is back to Antartica.

“No words and pictures can truly depict how magnificent the wild nature is and how awesome our Tanzania safari experience was”

No words and pictures can truly depict how magnificent the wild nature is and how awesome our Tanzania safari experience was.

Thank you AtoA, Kevin, Nomad Tanzania and &Beyond for all the wonderful arrangements. Shout out to our tour guide, David. He is super knowledgable, responsible, and has a great sense of humor. We were able to see all big five animals, multiple times, all the time; each and every game drive has wow-ed me!

I cannot stop raving about the trip and still thinking about all the wild animals. How up close with nature can you ask for? I was woken up by a giraffe right next to my safari mobile camp at Ndutu 3am one night; it was chewing the tree bushes exactly 1m away from my bed!

“Everything went beyond our wildest expectations, and we will have no hesitation in recommending Nomad to any of our friends and family, not to mention that we can't wait to return again with Nomad to relive the magic! ”

We had an amazing time with Nomad in Tanzania! Everything went beyond our wildest expectations, and we will have no hesitation in recommending Nomad to any of our friends and family, not to mention that we can't wait to return again with Nomad to relive the magic!

The permanent tents and common areas at Entamanu were absolutely beautiful! The view outside of our tent during the sun rise was so memorable, and the personal touch of morning calls with coffee / tea made it even better.

Serengeti Safari Camp, while less luxurious and permanent, offered an equally amazing experience. We were also pleasantly surprised, as all amenities at the tent were much more refined than the brochure description suggested. We actually thought "bucket shower" meant a bucket of hot water for us to dump on ourselves! The bonfire was also really nice; we'd only wished that it would still be available after the communal dinner, so we could sit around for a little bit more to star gaze. That said, we couldn't be happier with our experience there.

As for Lamai, how do we even begin?  The view at the common area was breathtaking, however many times we hung out there. The room was also incredible beyond our expectations. Clyde and Helen were amazing as well, and we thoroughly enjoyed their company and stories, and we truly appreciated their hospitality and care for us during our stay there. The food, which was served buffet style during lunch as compared to Entamanu and Serengeti, was also great; it definitely helped us from overeating! We couldn't think of anything else that would've made the experience better. Truly, we only wished we had a bit more time there.

With all that said, how could we not talk about our guides from Nomad? We had Masaa for the first 5 days and Anafi for the last 2 at Lamai. We truly loved both their company, and we are still incredible grateful for the genuine connection that we built with them. Above all else, our experience with Masaa made our experience in Tanzania truly special. His knowledge, passion, and care for the wilderness was infectious, and we couldn't be happier to learn about Tanzania as well as his culture through his lenses. To give you a sense, my wife cried as we said goodbye to Masaa as we departed for Lamai. :)  All in all, we can't be any happier with the guides at Nomad.

Lastly, we want to thank you again for organizing such an amazing trip for us. We originally thought it'd have been a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but we already can't wait to plan our return, as everything was just so amazing! Your help also made everything so easy; please know that we really appreciate it.

“It’s the fourth time I’ve used them and each trip – I’d like to think – has made me slightly better for it”

Safaris and adventure travel are best organised by specialist companies. Find one that you are comfortable with and that meets your needs. A2A Safaris organised my safari. It’s the fourth time I’ve used them and each trip – I’d like to think – has made me slightly better for it.

Bon voyage!

“It's safe to travel and more people need to go - with companies that strongly support conservation and sustainability. Plotting my next African adventure...”

Into the sunset. Andres and my amazing Kenyan adventure draws to a close.

Sleeping under stars in Loisaba, countless big cat sightings at Elephant Pepper and Sand River, bike and horse rides at Ol Donyo Lodge and so much more. Quick stop in Nairobi then home.

Huge thanks A2A Safaris, Elewana Collection, Cheli and Peacock, Great Plains and Safarilink for showing me the magic of Kenya.  It's safe to travel and more people need to go - with companies that strongly support conservation and sustainability.  Plotting my next African adventure...
